Bueng Yitho Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Pathum Thani Province (approximately 50 km from Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel): is administered by the local government in Bueng Yitho Municipality. The Center, a successful community-based care model, has developed an innovative program using bottom up grassroots approach that emphasizes community engagement to create an integrated cycle of services to better meet the needs of wider range of their local residents. The Center offers primary care services covering comprehensive medical treatment from prevention to diagnosis to rehabilitation, including alternative treatments, namely, 1) Common Diseases and Chronic Disease Clinic (OPD) 2) Thai Traditional Medicine Clinic 3) Chinese Medicine Clinic 4) Dental Center 5) Physical Therapy Center
Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM) under the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, Nonthaburi Province (approximately 17 km from Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel): DTAM is a government agency with key strengths in the following medical areas: 1) Anti-cancer drugs, diabetes medications, and hypertension medications; 2) Promotion of innovation in traditional Thai medicine by both public and private sectors; 3) Formulation of medicines for treating drug addiction; 4) Drug rehabilitation using traditional Thai medicine and integrative medicine; 5) Integrated palliative care for end-of-life patients.
